Installation Terms and Condition
CLIENT PRE-INSTALLATION REVIEW CARPET
We at Enchantment Carpet Company (ECC) are pleased that you have chosen our company to supply and install your new flooring. We appreciate your trust and wish to do everything possible to make the installation process a pleasant experience for you.
Please take a few moments to review the following important details.
Please be aware that the installation date and estimated number of working days you are given is subject to change. Every project we encounter is different and unforeseen challenges may arise which could affect the completion of each project. ECC strives to make sure each customer’s project is finished before moving on to the next one. If your project is not going to start on the date you were given, your Project Manager will contact you with any updates as we are made aware.
ECC will not be responsible for any ancillary expenses such as lost time from work, hotel expenses, meals, moving expenses or travel delays that may occur from unforeseen delays in materials or installation. What to do before the installer arrives?
- First, please work with us to ensure that you have a clear understanding of the installation services we provide and those for which you will be responsible. Tell us about small problems, traffic areas, pets, and/or special needs in your household or office. Please plan to keep pets away from work areas while the installation is ongoing in your home.
- Disconnect and move all computers, stereos, TV’s, DVD/VCR equipment, or any other electronic equipment to a safe location, including any equipment that is hanging on walls, for example wall hung TV’s and sound bars. ECC requires that customers do their own movement of these items or any other sensitive electronic equipment as we cannot be responsible for any damages. Please inform your Project Manager of any radiant heated floors or hidden wires such as alarm wires that may be under the flooring. ECC is not responsible for damage to any radiant heat systems or alarm wires that are not discussed with your Project Manager prior to work that is started.
- We will gladly quote the moving of regular furniture before installation. Please remove and clear off the surfaces of desks and shelving of all paper, clocks, radios, books, and decorative accessories. Please have beds disassembled. If possible, have your file cabinet drawers locked shut so when they are being moved, drawers will not fly open.
- Before installation, empty the bottoms of any closets receiving new floor covering, remove all items from under beds, remove bed coverings, fragile lamps, knickknacks, glassware from China cabinets, books from bookcases, and any small furniture that you can move. It is suggested that pictures and wall hangings be removed from the walls.
- Please be reminded that installers will not move antiques, grandfather clocks, aquariums, safes, pool tables, TV's, waterbeds, Murphy beds, exercise equipment, and musical instruments.
- If you have purchased a thicker product, or if a new sub-floor is placed on top of an existing floor, you may need to arrange to have your doors trimmed up to accommodate the new level. Baseboard removal and reinstall, if needed, will be quoted separately.
- When your new floor arrives, please double check to make sure it is what you have ordered: pattern and color. Each project will require additional materials for cuts and waste. ECC adheres to an industry standard of 10% on overages for most materials. Additional overages may be necessary for patterned carpets with a pattern match.
*Please be available for a walk-through with the chief installer when the job is done, and do not be reluctant to ask questions. Our installers will clean up after themselves.
- To avoid any misunderstandings, please direct the installation team as to where they should park and where they may use the restroom. Your courtesy to the team is greatly appreciated.
A 3% convenience fee will be applied to all credit card transactions. This fee does not apply to payments made via financing, cash, or check.
